English: Revolting Menus
This week, we are going to be creating our own revolting menus (we will write our final versions on Friday). We are going to be creating the most disgusting dishes we can think of and try to make them sound delicious.
Today, you are going to be “creating” some of your revolting dishes and using descriptive phrases to make them sound delicious.
Watch the video tutorial by your teacher on dojo, and look at the examples of the menus on the powerpoint below to get some ideas at how to use descriptive phrases to describe your dishes.
Using your ingredients from yesterday and, you will need to create and describe at least 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. Be adventurous with your choice of vocabulary.(There are some examples of words you may wish to include on the last slide of the powerpoint).
Science: How does human anatomy compare to other animals?
Click on the link below to join Miss Hummel to learn about the differences between humans and other animals. Learn about invertebrates and vertebrates, lungs and gills, and different brains.
Watch the video, pausing it when instructed and completing the tasks. I would love you to upload your writing about the similarities and differences between horses and humans, and birds and turtles.
Then complete the exit quiz to test your understanding. I would love to know your scores to see how you got on.
