Welcome back a new school year - In Woodpecker Class we have already made a super start to the term and we have lots of exciting and engaging learning still to come.
This term our topic and the main focus of our learning will be Rainforests. We will be learning where rainforests are in the world, what makes them such an important and diverse place and finding out about the people and animals that live in them. For more information on the topics being covered please look at the newsletter.
In Woodpecker Class we have a rolling programme of learning areas to cater for all of our Year groups. The coverage for the term is below in the medium term plans showing the different skills and knowledge the children will be working on this term.
Homework will be given fortnightly and consist of a work book with various different tasks for the children to complete. These will have the hand in date on the front and a text message will be sent during the week the work is due back. Children will also have weekly spellings on a Friday that will be tested on the following Friday.
Please can we remind all children that PE sessions are timetabled for Mondays and Fridays this term but all pupils need to have a named PE kit with trainers in school all week.
Many thanks for your continued support and we really look forward to sharing our learning with you all this term.
